Our Story
At "What About the Children," our story began with Coach Alfred “Bo” Rideau's unwavering dedication to mentoring young athletes at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. For over 25 years, Coach Rideau instilled values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance in countless children. Following his passing, his legacy lives on through his family, led by his wife Jeanette, who are committed to continuing his mission. They aim to build "The Bo Center," a state-of-the-art facility in the same neighborhood, offering programs and resources to empower youth and provide them with the tools to build a brighter future.
